Citizen engagement: Training for all CIRSEAU projects
The B-WaterSmart team organized a training action on “Citizen Engagement” between 27. and 29. March 2023, consisting of three online sessions on topics such as citizen science and participatory methodologies. The aim was to support those involved in organizing stakeholder and/or public events in their Living Labs, through practical advice on methods and best practices.
These online sessions were organized as part of the training & capacity building tasks of Work Package 1 of B-WaterSmart and offered by the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon (ICS-ULisboa), coordinator of WP5 (Society, Governance and Policy).
The courses focused on three topics, each introduced by an expert from ICS-ULisboa: Participatory methodologies between institutional spaces and civic activation (Roberto Falanga), Policy co-design and implementation (João Mourato), and Citizen science (Ana Delicado).
The training action was open to all members of the CIRSEAU network and also welcomed participants from ‘sister projects’ of B-WaterSmart such as Ultimate and Water Mining.
